Grab a Fermilab Open House, or Go to a Magical Winter Garden

There's a ton of cool stuff to do with your kids this week.

Talk about planned parenthood—we've got you covered right here on Geneva Patch.

The Grab & Go Kids Planner is our weekly (10 a.m. Wednesday, actually) calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Why Go: Explore the world of at this hands-on exhibit. Open until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 5 p.m. Saturday.

• MOTHER-DAUGHTER BOOK DISCUSSION
Where/When: 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at , 127 James St.
Why Go: The is Star in the Forest by Laura Resau. The library provides pizza and soft drinks. For girls in fourth grade and higher with a caregiver.
Pricing: Free.

• FERMILAB FAMILY OPEN HOUSE
Where/When: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fermilab, Wilson and Kirk roads, Batavia.
Why Go: This is a party for children with an adult.

• MAGICAL WINTER GARDEN
Where/When: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day at , 4100 Lincoln Ave.
Why Go: Who's hiding in the "?" Most of the animals may be hibernating, but the Children's Garden still has some enchanting gnomes, fairies and wise old trees within the Garden. Come see what you can find!

• AFRICAN-NATIVE AMERICAN LIVES IN THE AMERICAS
Where/When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Dunham Hall at Aurora University, 1400 Marseillaise Place.
Why Go: A 20-panel focusing on African-Native American people. Pricing: Free.
