Geneva on the Web: Frank Boenzi, Garfield Farm and the God Particle

We are not making this up.

Happy Monday! Here's a quick roundup of Geneva stories you can find on the Web:

The DeKalb County Chronicle has a nice story about Geneva's as a red-shirt freshman trying to make the team and get some playing time on the NIU Huskies football team.

I thought this was surprising—kind of a nice compliment, considering the distance. The Bloomington Pantagraph mentions Garfield Farm's Woodland Wildflower Walk on its list of things to do on April 30.

And speaking of Garfield Farm, Producer David Phyfer has made an excellent YouTube video that reminds us that the Garfield Farm Museum is starting up its yearly archaeological excavation program in June and looking for folks who might like to dig, screen and wash artifacts that are found. www.youtube.com/user/stagefrightprods

Finally, folks are going gaga in Geneva, Switzerland, where they've got their own particle accelerator, similar to Fermilab See: Higgs boson rumor as elusive as particle itself. What everyone is talking about is a leak—the human kind, not the Three-Mile Island type. The rumor is an internal memo saying they've found the Higgs boson, or the God Particle. Which would have been especially nice if they could have found it on Easter.
