Literacy Volunteers Needed

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will host a tutor training workshop in October for residents who want to help adults read, write, speak and understand English.

The four-session workshop will be held at the St. Charles Public Library, One South Sixth Avenue in St. Charles on Mondays and Wednesdays, October 15, 17, 22 and 24 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

Residents do not need to know a second language or have a teaching background to volunteer. Those who complete training will be matched with one adult learner whom they will meet for one hour each week at a time and public location that is convenient.
