The Prairie Brass Band will open the Summer Concert Serites in Geneva's River Park on Sunday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the City of Geneva's Cultural Arts Commission, the performance will be the first of four July Sunday evening concerts.
The 30-piece Prairie Brass Band, based in Arlington Heights, has performed in Geneva for the last two years and recalls the popularity of brass bands in the Fox Valley area back to the 1800's.

Concertgoers can bring chairs, blankets, pads, picnic baskets, etc to the stone amphitheatre two blocks north of State Street at Peyton Street and River Lane. In case of rain, the concert will be re-located to the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church.
Subsequent concerts will be: Vandercook Drum Circle, followed by Geneva's Third St. Jazz Quartet on July 17; Live Radio Theater on July 24; and Jim Green, the Wandering Endorphin on July 31.
