Artists to Get 'On the Floor' at Geneva Arts Fair July 23-24

Geneva Arts Fair artists will have an additional opportunity to display their creativity.

During the Arts Fair, 24 artists will be participating in the “On the Floor” project. in Geneva is sponsoring this mini competition which has the artists vying for the title of “Best Use of Tile Winner."  

Each participating artist is randomly given a 6 1/2” x 6” piece of floor tile, donated by Carlson’s Floors. The artists are to incorporate the piece into their work in any way they want.

It may involve smashing them, piercing them, breaking them or something entirely different. The final piece of artwork may be as big or as small as the artist chooses and may be incorporated into their current style of work or something new.

The artwork will be on display, in participating artists' booths, during the Arts Fair.  

The Geneva Arts Fair is held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 23 and 24, 2011  on Third Street in downtown Geneva.
