Andrea at Swedish Days: Radio Disney Comes to Swedish Days!

Radio Disney's presence Saturday afternoon was the perfect way to round our my jam-packed day in Geneva.

Were you wondering what happened to all of the kids who were not at the carnival from 3 to 4:30 on Saturday afternoon?

I found them. They were all hanging out with the Radio Disney crew on Campbell Street singing, dancing and bouncing about.

For a special segment of the event, the Radio Disney crew teamed up with the Chevrolet spokesperson named Josh to play a fun trivia game and invite families to enter to win an ultimate family vacation sponsored by Chevrolet. Apparently the trip was worth $7,500, so if a Geneva family takes that prize, they better be packing me in their suitcase!

From 3 p.m. on, children were wriggling about and singing the entire time. I will admit that for part of the time, I was, too. Crowd-pleasers such as Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA and songs by Selena Gomez and other Disney stars were playing. With all of that singing, I began to think that perhaps the show Glee should be coming to audition kids in Geneva because Geneva kids have talent!

From dancing in the streets yesterday during "Dance Friday" to joining in with the kids supporting Radio Disney today, I am going to make DANCING a new tradition each year at Swedish Days. OK, so I have been a dancer for most of my life, so that might be cheating. Combining dance and the best festival around every summer? It doesn't get much better than that.
