5 Weekend Things: SWEDISH DAYS, and Art, Song and the Garden On Tap This Weekend

A lot of options on the plate for the weekend of June 25-26.

There's really one must on the to-do list this week, and that's Swedish Days. But there are other things going on, as well, believe it or not.

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at , 105 E. Main St., St Charles.
  • Why Go: Rising Star Theatreworks will present the iconic Rodgers & Hammerstein . A lot of Geneva kids in the cast. (Go, Mary Owen!)
  • Pricing: $12-$10.

3. ARTIST RECEPTION

  • Where/When: 7-9 p.m. Friday at , 1040 Dunham Rd., St Charles.
  • Why Go: An Artist Reception for "," a Mixed Media Collage Art show, featuring 98 original works by 29 artists.
  • Pricing: Free.

4. GARDEN WALK

  • Where/When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at , 700 W. Fabyan Pky., Batavia.
  • Why Go: The showcases eight beautifully varied gardens. This event and the annual plant sale provide funds towards the Batavia Plain Dirt Gardeners’ commitment to maintain the Wildflower Sanctuary and other projects, including local college scholarships.
  • Pricing: $13 in advance, $15 day of the walk.

5. PATRIOTIC SONGFEST

  • Where/When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at , 320 Franklin St., Geneva.
  • Why Go: An filled with singing and surprises. A delicious "potluck ice cream social" follows the event.  Bring ice cream or a topping to share.
