Mindy!

This is MINDY - she is a wonderful 7 month old Basset Hound Mix. I pulled her and her brother Buddy from a kill shelter in KY. She was curled up in the corner shaking from head to toe. She wouldn't move and tucked her head under her paw. I carried her to the car and drove her to Illinois. When we finally stopped and I took her out of the car I noticed that her back leg not working correctly. Off to the vet we went. Initial thought was the leg was broken. She needed to return to have more extensive xrays and needed to take a little nap for the xrays to be done. The xrays were sent to a specialist and the result is "an old break at the growth plate. It has healed and can not now be repaired. She is not in pain, gets around fine, runs, plays and enjoys long walks. She will always have a limp and may develop arthritis but she is fine and available for adoption." Good news for Mindy. She doesn't know she walks with a limp. She is SWEET, SWEET, SWEET... a typical basset personality. Email kathy at caseysdogs@yahoo.com Mindy will be at the Petsmart in Geneva from 11:00 to 2:00 on Saturday.
