GHS Varsity Dance Team places first and second in the 2A division at the IHSA Competitive Dance Competition at Stevenson High School on December 8, 2013. The Varsity Dance Team also placed second at the Neuqua Valley High School IHSA Dance Competition, Tuesday, December 3. Coach Amy VanWagenen said of their success, “Geneva's season is off to an amazing start due to the talent and work ethic of all the members of the team.”
The Geneva Varsity Dance Team is coached by Amy VanWagenen and has 18 members consisting of eight seniors, four juniors, five sophomores and one freshman. Dance team captains: Hailey Wishne, Aimee Dappas and Kelsey Paeth. Co-captains: Danielle Friedel and Mindy Lietza. Team members: Molly Zacher, Emily Schmid, Kennedy Hughes, Michelle Lapetina, Gigi Hansen, Jenna Soldati, Natalie Erickson, Mary Kafer, Diana Brognia, Maddie Emma, Elena Cramer, Nicole Rinne, Nikki Serra.
Geneva competes next on January 3, 2014 at the Sears Center.
