‘Fools in Love’ Director Kyle Donahue of Geneva returns to Fox Valley Rep to work with top youth talent as Music Director of The Little Mermaid Jr.

The Fox Valley Rep Performing Arts Academy is searching for the best and brightest young talent in the Fox Valley grades 5-12 to audition for the Youth Ensemble musical production, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. Open auditions will take place at Fox Valley Rep’s home – Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; education telephone 630-364-0550).

Music Director Kyle Donahue of Geneva returns to Fox Valley Repertory after directing the professional mainstage summer hit Why Do Fools Fall in Love?, receiving high acclaims from Fox Valley patrons and critics.

“I really enjoy working with the youth ensemble since there is excitement about learning and growing as theatre professionals.  I try to keep that in mind as I'm teaching and coaching, and I work to have a similar atmosphere in rehearsals to a professional rehearsal process like Why Do Fools In Love?, says Donahue.

He also music directed Fox Valley Rep Performing Arts Academy’s successful Youth Ensemble production of All Shook Up.

“Performers should audition because the show is a Disney classic with a large amount of featured roles for all ages.  Working with a great creative team, the kids will take on some memorable and fun tunes that jump out of the story into toe-tapping musical theatre showstoppers.  From 'Under The Sea' to 'Kiss The Girl,' the music is a blast!  It's a fun story, and the professional staff create a dynamic and polished production while working to help the budding young performers grow artistically.”
