Fisher Farms! It's time to throw off the yoke of Geneva oppression!

When in the course of repeated one hour plus power outages and streets that regulary remain unplowed until the snow is permanently packed onto the pavement, we, the forgotten residents of Fisher Farms have no choice but to raise the flag of rebellion and secede! Though I'm not sure Fisherfarmsburg is appropriate, I'm sure we'll come up with something better soon. And I'm hereby unilaterally drafting Terry Flanagan to be our unlawfully appointed president (even though he doesn't live out here.) Our next step will be to invade Mill Creek and put them out of our misery.

Wow, what did we do?

Ed, If you're referring to Mill Creek, you have to read my previous column history (I'm currently temporarily retired). But to make a long story short, it's silly things like threatening to vote Geneva's mayor out of office. Though I certainly like the sentiment, Mill Creekians don't actually live in Geneva. Then there was the busing crisis where Mill Creek school children would suffer the ignominy of traveling the very same distance to another school and, God forbid, apartments coming in to Mill Creek. We know what kind of element that will bring! Then there was the time that Wal Mart ran out of blonde hair coloring. I've never seen so many Mill Creek women immediately go into meltdown mode.

Jeff, you need to come out of retirement. I miss reading your columns and blogs.

Will you take the $285 million in school building debt with you?
Jeff Ward December 10, 2013 at 02:18 PM
Bob, Not on your life!

streets that regularly remain unplowed until the snow is permanently packed onto the pavement??? Isn't that what you pay home association fees for?????

And once again it's 7 a.m. and I don't even hear a Geneva snow plow!
