Captain Kody Says: It’s Time to Stop and Smell the Roses
Captain Kody stops to smell the flowers around Geneva
Sometimes we all need to be reminded to stop and smell the flowers. In other words, we really just need to take a few moments every day to be thankful for the beauty of the world around us.
Dogs are really good at reminding us of how important it is to forget about our busy schedules or crazy lives and just enjoy the moment. As one of my favorite poets, William Wordsworth, said, “Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.”
So, if you happen to head out on the town, Kody asks that you stop for a bit near some of the polychromatic flowers that frame store fronts, embrace corners and grow beautifully all over downtown Geneva.

Kody reminds me to just settle down, breathe, and cherish life every single day. Whether it’s by slowly following the movements of a butterfly, rolling around in a soft patch of grass, or simply curling up at the base of a shade tree, Kody has demonstrated that even simple acts can lead to great happiness, pleasure and satisfaction.
So RELAX, Genevans! Life is calling.
