Captain Kody Says: If Only Dogs Could Eat an All Chocolate Kitchen …

Captain Kody gets a glimpse of the All Chocolate Kitchen in Geneva

This past weekend, Kody got a whiff of some of the best chocolate in Geneva, and for that matter, possibly the world. With a surprise homecoming from his older brother that occurred at The in Geneva last Saturday, Kody was one happy pup.

Of course, Kody was not invited inside the All Chocolate Kitchen, nor was he allowed to eat any chocolate, but there was a large water bowl just for dogs right outside the door that was just the pick-me-up he needed to keep walking on another steamy day in Geneva. After a nice drink of water, Kody curiously peered through the front window to find world famous chef, Alain Roby, hard at work. Pastries, cookies, sorbetto, cakes, chocolates that are too flawless to be real—the is not just a place to stop downtown Geneva, it is quickly becoming a destination for residents and visitors alike.

Since the All Chocolate Kitchen opened in Geneva, located right off of James Street across from the Post Office, I have not been able to resist stopping in every time I go downtown. I first visited during Swedish Days and was immediately intrigued by the large chocolate figures inside, made by Alain Roby, the free samples of sugar cookies baked to sweet perfection, and the smooth, creamy taste of freshly made gelato.

Though Kody could not indulge with me, the chocolate I tasted reminded me of when I was in Europe and it made me feel guilty that I ever wasted calories on a waxy, chocolate Hershey’s bar. It’s the kind of chocolate that is completely satisfying and can turn those who dislike chocolate into euphoric chocolate connoisseurs. Whether for chocolate, coffee, sorbetto, gelato, or merely to witness Chef Roby at work, a visit to the All Chocolate Kitchen will definitely give you a glimpse of Geneva’s culinary prowess and your taste buds an experience they won’t soon forget.
