Coultrap Time-Capsule Opening at 10:30 AM Saturday

The Fourth Street administrative building will be rededicated as the Coultrap Educational Service Center during a ceremony Saturday, Sept. 28.

Join Geneva School District on Saturday, Sept. 28, for the dedication of the Coultrap Educational Services Center and the opening of the time capsule found this summer in the former Coultrap Elementary School building.

The dedication ceremony of the school district’s administrative offices will begin at 10:30 a.m. at 227 N. Fourth Street. The building is being dedicated in honor of Harry M. Coultrap, who served as Geneva’s Superintendent of Schools from 1912 to 1950.

In addition to the dedication, the late superintendent’s grandson, Paul Coultrap, and other members of the family will open a time capsule found during the demolition of the Coultrap Elementary School building on Peyton Street, which was built as a high school during Mr. Harry Coultrap’s tenure.

All are welcome to attend.
