More About Fabyan Forest Preserve
The Fabyan Forest Preserve is the 235-acre former estate of Colonel George and Nelle Fabyan. Located along the Fox River, the preserve features a Japanese Garden and the Fabyan Villa Museum, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Besides being known for their generosity to the community, the Fabyans developped code-breaking techniques that played a crucial role in both World Wars. The Villa is open between May and October. Group tours and field trips, as well as public tours and self-guided tours, are available. Photography is restricted to the exterior of the museum.
