About this column:

"Moments" are photos or photo essays that capture and record life in Geneva. Geneva Patch wants to see your moments, too. To submit photos, contact Rick Nagel at 630.886.0792 or rickn@patch.com.
Geneva Electrical Department workers use cherry pickers to trim the city's official Christmas tree this afternoon in front of the Kane County Courthouse at Third and James streets. The ornaments were made by local children in schools and Scout troops. Hundreds of residents and visitors will gather Friday evening to watch Santa Claus and Mayor Kevin Burns light the tree to open Christmas Walk. "Look, Mommy! It's Christmas!" one toddler shouted as the same tree lit up several years ago.
