What do Obama & Lincoln Have in Common?

Join us at noon on Tuesday, November 13, for Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln, and the Structure of Reason.  Co-authors Dan Van Haften and David Hirsch broke Abraham Lincoln's 'speech writing code'.  They identified and explained the unique and learnable structure used by Lincoln in their book Abraham Lincoln and the Structure of Reason published in November 2010.

Come listen to Batavia author Dan Van Haften explain how the structure added meaning to Lincoln's speeches and how President Obama uses Lincoln's same structure.

Presented by the Geneva History Center, this program is part of the Brown Bag Lunch series at the Geneva History Center, 113 South Third Street, in the heart of Geneva's downtown historic district.

Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for GHC members and students, free to Herrington Circle Members.  Cookies and coffee are provided and participants are encouraged to bring their lunch.  Inglenook Pantry of Geneva generously provides soup on a first-come, first-served basis.  For more information, contact the Geneva History Center at 630-232-4951 or visit our website at www.genevahistorycenter.org to register online.
