Please read pages 55 for Medicare coverage Choices and page 51 for tracking Preventive Services.
FYI--Medicare does not cover if you have heart attack in Latin America or Europe or Asia.If you are in transit from Canada or on Cruise from USA--you are covered.
Also,if you have major problem and you want to go to another hospital, you may be better off with PPO for 20% not covered by Medicare.
Cancer screenings are a Must
Cardiovascular screening is a must
Diabeties screening is a Must.
Obesity screening is a Must--as it can affect heart, digestive parts and your weight on Knees ,hips etc.
Bone Mass measurement--as bone fractures for older people can be serious problem.
Yearly Wellness visit is a MUST-- to discover any looming problem.
Please note--Healthy living can lower costs of Old age Care. These tests--Colonoscopy are ways to prevent Colon Cancer--which if caught late can cost you upward of half million$ (over Medicare limit) and plenty of additional pain that comes with Cancer.
Think of Colon Cancer as this way--If YOUR REAR IS "NOT" IN GEAR,then you can not enjoy the Pizza or Hamburgers that you love to eat daily.
http://www.getyourrearingear.com I am a Volunteer doctor for Colon Cancer and wish to eliminate 51000 deaths every year.

Starting in 2013,there is a board that is going to issue guidelines on treatments.
Imagine this group deciding what is fair to pay or not pay.But that is not enough--Medicare will impose PENALTIES or FINES.
There was a report that if someone is REDAMITTED within 30 days after Cardiac Stent or pneumonia--then if by chance--the patient is readmitted ,them Medicare can FINE the hospital. Obviously doctors will be implicated also.
