Try the hot mulled apple cider in The Little Traveler's International Food Courts. It's sampled every day in the first room to the right when you go in the front door. It's fun to watch people taste it, and then see them get a dreamy smile on their face.

I always make sure I get to the Geneva Green Market early in October to stock up on honeycrisp apples from Hillside Orchards. They're so much better and fresher than the honeycrisps in the stores that Hillside's booth often sells out. When that happens, I head to Fresh Market in Geneva Commons for my honeycrisp fix because the apples there are fresher than they are at the big-chain supermarkets.

I personally feel the caramel apple at Graham's (the one with caramel and nuts, not with chocolate, too) is delectable every season, but is absolutely perfect for fall. I introduced it to a friend of mine from Elgin and she's so hooked she makes special trips here upon occasion (she hits the Little Traveler, too, for all the Vera Bradley items, Mike!) just to snag one. Delicious! When I was walking around taking Sunday afternoon photos in Geneva, I was actually glad I had no money in my pockets so I wouldn't be tempted to buy one. Calorie counts and all that...

My personal favorite this season in Geneva is the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread from Great Harvest. It is fair to say that their apple butter, pumpkin butter and creamy honeys this season are amazing as well, though I am partial to that savory pumpkin chocolate chip bread. It is a moist, sweet bread full of delicious pumpkin spices, real pumpkin (none of that artificial flavoring crap), miniature chocolate chips and a smooth texture that is oh so pleasing to the palate. You really need to try this one for yourself. I make a homemade pumpkin bread that comes close, but Great Harvest's bread still manages to come out on top. You have to try this one for yourself. And if, like me, you are afraid...or rather know that when you purchase an entire loaf, you are likely to consume the entire thing in a matter of hours, Great Harvest employees will be happy to give you a sample if you stop in the store. Warning: this bread will haunt your tastebuds, so proceed with caution as you take a bite...Happy Harvest!!

Moveable Feast has everything and something diffferent every day. There is a reason that Oprah loves them and that their asked to cater some of Barracks flights. Little known secret, big time performance...I'd recommend some of their food and deserts but I would be slighting everything. else. Hang around for awhile and see the love shared amoung the employees. It's Mayberry...I think I saw aunt Bea once:)

My personal favorite Chocolate pecan pie and Pumpkin spice Gelato at the All Chocolate Kitchen! Besides the place having a great atmostphere for the family to hang out it also has great desserts! Plus Chef Roby Prepares these homemade desserts as if it was a 5 star restaurant. I Love ACK!

My husband and I stopped into Grahams 318 on this crisp fall evening and tried the Apple Cider Gelato. It is full of flavor and tastes like a sip of this delicious fall drink. I was envisioning an apple orchard full of sunkissed apples with each bite. Heavenly! You've got to try it.

Pumpkin Spice Gelato at The All Chocolate Kitchen is AMAZING!!! I love the entire experience from the minute I walk in the door to the second I walk out. Stop in for gelato and walk out with a couple truffles for later.

They have a new Apple Pie gelato with pecans and it is absolutly delicious! It actually tastes like you are eating an apple pie and the pecans just tops the whole thing off! The staff is amazing and makes you feel welcome so I highly recommend a visit to the All Chocolate Kitchen to put you in an autumn mood and to have that wonderful European experience that everyone enjoys!!

The Apple Cider Gelato at Grahams 318 Coffeehouse was so divine that I went back the next day for more. It is a taste of fall in every bite. Delicious! Thank you, Grahams, for your 20 years plus of bringing the very BEST to Geneva. You are AWESOME!

My vote for the best fall season treat in Geneva is The All Chocolate Kitchen's pumpkin spice gelato. It is such a unique option and is unlike any other pumpkin flavored gelato or ice cream I've ever had. The balance of pumpkin and nutty spice flavor is perfect. I'm still able to enjoy pumpkin in cold form which I prefer over pumpkin flavored hot drinks or breaded desserts. Thank you All Chocolate Kitchen for this incredible fall dessert!
