We're seeking your votes for the best coffee shop in Batavia, St. Charles and Geneva. There are a lot of great ones, so let us know your Reader's Choice!

Are you a grande guy? A latte lady? A soy-vanilla-half-calf mochachino maniac, perhaps?

It used to be a dime for a cup of coffee. These days, it's an art form. Coffee houses are the great meeting places of the 21st century, and we have bunches of really excellent coffee shops in St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia.

But which is the best?

Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Arcedium Coffee House, by far!!! Everyone is so nice there. The coffee and lates are the best, no comparison! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Truly the neighborhood place that every coffee shop tries to be.

Both Graham's 318 and All Chocolate Kitchen in Geneva are great. I've done Arcedium and the coffee was good, but it didn't jump out for me as much. That said, those three are the best in the Tri-city area.

Graham's in Geneva. Arcedium fails terribly with unattentive, unaware, slow servers.
It's a coffee shop- wake up!

Arcedium is my favorite!!! The coffee is GREAT and I've always had good service there. It can be pretty busy, but even when there's a line it moves about as fast as Starbucks I think. They have a nice selection of non-coffee drinks, food, and pastries too! Definitely the best place for coffee in STC.

Crooked Tree in St. Charles. Great atmosphere, fabulous creeps and wraps, and I love the location, on my way to almost everywhere. They have the best Chicken Caesar Salad I've had, I can't order that any other place now.

Arcedium hands down no question... :) Graham's is good for hot chocolate and caribou is good for mocha while you're walking around Geneva. But I am a purest when it comes to a real latte or cappuccino ... And for that you want Arcedium :) great staff great environment great food and fabulous coffee!!!!

Arcedium is a great spot to run into people...always seeing someone I haven't seen for awhile. Biggest drawback is all the damn laptop hobos...people hunched over their computers, taking up a table for four, nursing a small cup of tea for hours. Makes it very hard for groups to find a spot. Management has to give these cheapos the boot.

Graham's 318. They have a Mirage espresso machine and serve Metropolis Redline. I can walk in there and ask for a Dry Capp and I get a Dry Capp. Most other places I just get a blank stare. How can a chain shop with automatic espresso machines even be nominated. Have we no standards?

I love Arcedium so much. The espresso is so much better there than anywhere else because they roast it themselves. I've tried Grahams 318 and it was passable, but the staff at Arcedium seems to be much more knowledgeable about their product. Plus, the latte art is beautiful. Arcedium is hands down the best for the purist.

If you're in high school, Graham's is okay. But when it comes to better product Arcedium is where it's at. It's cleaner, attracts an adult crowd, and if I need to wind down and enjoy my coffee there isn't any place better. (Sorry Crooked Tree! Still love you!)

Grahams is a great spot to relax outside and enjoy a cup of coffee. However, all chocolate kitchens coffee sticks out in a different way and their atmosphere is perfect for a date. Its like grahams and arcecidem combined with a bolder kick. I do wish they opened earlier tho, would love to have a cup before work.

You know its good when the decaf tastes like its regular. Never thought I would say this but I really believe that All chocolate kitchen beats the rest. The funny thing is they do not even focus in coffee!
