What Would You Improve in Geneva in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Geneva, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Geneva to make it an even better place to live?

Tell us in the comment section below or blog in Local Voices about why you love living here!

Stop overdeveloping the town and also fill up all of the empty stores. That's all I can think of, I love this town (loved it more in the 80's & 90's before Shodeen completely destroyed it)

Take control of the abandoned Mill Race Inn complex. If the property is bank owned, require them to either maintain or raze the building. The building is rotting away and is a blight on one of the most picturesque areas in the town (Island Park)

Develop more wide-spread, you know, not keep everything further west. It's a little difficult to have proper business equality when the east side looks much, much older than it should. Improvements should be made here, and more businesses should be allowed room to build in empty areas. Not everyone wants to drive 15 minutes to go to one store, and find out the product they're looking for isn't in stock and have to drive 15 minutes back empty handed.
