We have a winner!

Patch readers have spoken, and The Herrington Inn in Geneva was selected as Favorite Wedding Reception Venue of the Tri Cities.

Herrington was chosen by having the highest number of ratings and reviews, a total of five each.

Other favorites that had at least one comment or review include Riverview Banquets in Batavia and the Geneva Golf Club on that city's west side.

The Herrington is a luxury hotel that opened in 1993. In addition to 61 rooms, a spa and a restaurant, the hotel also features a banquet hall perfect for weddings.

Here's what readers had to say about their Herrington experience:

"We hosted our daughter's wedding there and the staff exceeded our expectations. Every detail was executed with precision ... The staff was (invisibly) efficient, no interruptions yet on top of every needed amenity, to make sure all of the guests had what we repeatedly heard (was) 'this best wedding ever.'"—Jay Moffat

"Deanne Mitchell, Director of Catering is amazing. She offers 5 star service from beginning to end. I recommend clients to The Herrington Inn weekly."—Christina Watson

Here's the review left during the contest for Riverview Banquets in Batavia:

"Small enough to not be in competition with other parties going on at the same time. Any noise is from my own party, large enough for a practical size wedding and likely very good value. Easy parking and beautiful river view." —Reed Callahan

And here's a comment left for the Geneva Golf Club:

"An up-and-coming site is the Geneva Golf Club, they have about 5 weddings per year, seat about 120 and the cost is very reasonable. The best part is you can select your own caterer, and it is open to the public for these events." —Chuck Carroll
