Tough Readers' Choice: What's Your Favorite Park in the Tri-Cities?

Honestly, this is a tough Readers' Choice. What's your vote for favorite park in Geneva, Batavia or St. Charles?

When it comes to bucolic, the folks in St. Charles, Batavia and Geneva know how to make the best of it.

There's Quarry Beach and Engstrom and Wheeler and Island and Mount St. Mary and Johnson's Mound and on and on and on. There are neighborhood parks so gorgeous they take your breath away. There are dog parks, skating parks, bike parks galore.

Given all of that—what's your favorite? Which one has the most history, bring back a fond memory, is the nesting place where you and your family find solace, serenity or just plain fun?

So pick a park, any park, then make your vote in our Patch poll.

Nominations were accepted on Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles Patch through July 9.

Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Dryden Park lot's of shade, basketball, tennis, two pavillons and a port a potty. If you want water then hands down Moore splash park can't be beat. I think I enjoy the splash park more than my son :)

Wheeler Park and Island Park are both wonderful community assets where I have many fond memories, especially from when my kids were growing up. I also would regularly take out of town family and friends there when they would visit to "show off" Geneva's great beauty.

Fabyan Park, most unique park with all it's historic buildings, interesting gardens and landmark windmill. You can have a picnic, go on the bike trail and relax in a place that takes you back in time.
