Time For Fall Cleanup Despite Summer Temps

It's that time of year when the yard needs to be cleaned up, the bulbs planted, and the garden has to come down ...

With temperatures reaching near 80 degrees once again, Art Fisher spent some time cleaning up his garden on the 6-acre farm he owns on Keslinger Road. Fisher once owned and farmed the 421 acres behind him, the subdivision now known as Fisher Farms.

He said his garden went pretty well this year with plenty of tomatoes, squash, pumpkins (which he gives away), lettuce, and red onions. While his potato patch was productive, he said next year he's planting the smaller red potatoes.
