Terry Bleau Named Kane County Administrator of the Year
Geneva Middle School South's principal is awarded for his personal approach, while Western Avenue School's Donna Darvis is honored for her work in special education.
Geneva Middle School South Principal Terry Bleau has been named "Administrator of the Year" at the 37th annual Kane County Educator of the Year Awards Banquet at Pheasant Run Resort.
Bleau took over as the principal at GMS South soon after Geneva Middle School North was completed. He won the award for his "ability to inspire and motivate students." He is known for his personal approach and for connecting with students on a one-on-one level.
Diane Dargis, a special education assistant at Western Avenue School, was nominated for creating a variety of innovative curriculum for special needs students. Dargis is active in many community activities, including the Western Avenue School PTO and Girl Scouts.
Both educators were honored at Monday night's Geneva District 304 School Board meeting.

I completely agree with Bob McQuillan ... Terry is someone that goes the extra mile in every aspect of his position at GMSS. A job well done! I'm glad my daughter ended up at South.
