Sweet Spots (Part 1): Valentine's Day in Geneva
Our town plays host to a number of exciting and affordable Valentine's Day options. In this two-part series, Patch takes a look at specials around town.
Geneva is an inherently romantic town. A river runs through down the middle of it, the architecture is quaint and beautiful, and there are plenty of wineries around. Even without the vino, though, it isn't hard to wax romantic here, as the enthusiastic approach to Valentine's Day taken by local restaurants shows.
We have a breakdown of the best that Geneva has to offer on this lover's holiday. Spots fill up fast, so don't hesitate call in some reservations. As the poet advises, young lovers: make much of time.
Wildwood Steak has something special in the works for the romantic holiday. Reservations strongly recommended.
Always one of Geneva's finer dining options, the Atwater has some amazing offerings for the lover's day as well. Two different five course prix fixe meals are on offer here, one featuring tenderloin for $65 pp, and the other fruity de mare for $75 pp. A wine pairing can be added to each meal for $30 pp. The hostess says that spots are very limited.
The popular fine-dining, wine-pairing spot Niche has a Valentine's Day menu that's a perfect fit for the holiday. A four course meal with optional wine pairing is featured with food at $60 and the wine pairing at $40. Details on pairings are here and reservations are strongly encouraged.
The newcomer to Geneva's restaurant scene offers a Valentine's Day four course dinner starting with a cheese plate and ending with a sweet dessert. The eatery promises all sorts of goodness in between, and the cost is $80 per couple. Reservations only.
