The Geneva Park District has been supporting various community improvement initiatives over the last few years with the most recent one being the renovation of the Sunset Community Center located at 710 Western Ave.

The renovation began last spring and the "Grand Re-0pening" is set for early this fall. The occasion will be marked by a renovation celebration from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15. All residents are strongly encouraged to attend and come see some of the center’s improvements, which include:

• A new fitness facility
• State-of-the-art fitness equipment
• Renovated locker rooms
• A spacious stretching and weight area
• Environmentally friendly lighting
• New front desk area

Attendants at the grand re-opening will also be eligible raffles, giveaways and a discounted one-month-free fitness membership.
