St. Charles' Parent Petroleum Buys Fuller's Gas Station in Geneva

Reports: St. Charles-based company pays $2 million for the property by way of a company called Angel Associates LP, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

Parent Petroleum, which already owned the Mobil gas station on East State Street has purchased another gas station down the road.

The Kane County Chronicle reports that the St. Charles based company paid $2 million for Fuller's Fast Stop, 1166 E State St.

Phone calls Friday to Parent Petroleum were not returned.

The Chronicle story says Angel Associates LP bought the property on Feb. 4, and that Angel Associates is affiliated with Parent Petroleum.

Angel Associates bought six BP statations in Kane County in 2010, the Chronicle reported.

In late 2011, Parent Petroleum changed the "Pride of Geneva" gas station at 206 E. State St. from a Citgo to a Mobil station.

Fullers has the sign in front, "Lowest Gas Prices Within 3 miles - Guaranteed!".
If the same company owns the Mobil and Fullers, it'll be good for them - but maybe not as good for the consumer.

I went in here on Saturday. I was very disappointed. The friendliness of the staff was missing and the characters hanging around in the store has definately changed. I am not sure I will be revisiting the gas station. The car wash, as long as the Fuller's name is on it, will keep my business!

My routine was always to fill up at Fullers and get a 3$ fast wash. The new owners got rid of the pay-at-the -pump fast wash deal. Bad move.

I'll be buying my gas elsewhere (and not at the Mobil since it goes in the same pocket) Hello, Shell.

Well, no more "cheapest gas in 3 mile radius' or 3$ car wash with gas purchase...
I miss Fullers

The $3 car wash is the only I would drive over there to buy my gas, sad to see that go. I wonder who has the best car wash for the best price now.
