Someone Steals Pizza Delivery Car's Rooftop Sign

Now, there's something you don't see every day in the Geneva police reports.

Antonio's Pizza apparently is so good, people are stealing the rooftop signs off the delivery cars.

Under the category of "unusual pizza-related theft under $500" comes this report from the Geneva Police Department files.

Someone stole the rooftop sign of an Antonio’s Pizza delivery vehicle sometime between 9 p.m. Nov. 20 and 1:15 a.m. Nov. 21, reports said. The driver said he left the business parking lot at around 8:45 p.m. Nov. 20. When he returned to the restaurant at around 1:15 a.m., the sign was no longer on the car.

The driver said it appeared that no entry was made to the vehicle and nothing in the interior appeared to be disturbed.

The estimated value of the roof sign is $400.

If you have information about this or any other crime in Geneva, please contact the Geneva Police Department at 630-232-4736.
