Someone Steals an 'Easter Island Head' Sculpture From Front Yard
Police reports: Theft under $300 and criminal damage to property among the miscellaneous items in this week's blotter.
Well, a 4-foot tall one was taken from the front of a Geneva home. We are not making this up.
Also, someone decided orange paint would look good on the sidewalk of a home on Wood Avenue. Why, we do not know. We simply report what's in the Geneva police blotter.
Theft Under $300—Someone took an “Easter Island Head” sculpture from the front yard of a residence in the 2200 block of Pepper Valley Drive sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 16 and 7 a.m. Nov. 17, Geneva police reports said. The 4-foot cement statue had an estimated value of $100.
Criminal Damage to Property—Someone spread orange paint on the sidewalk and grass on the south side of a residence in the 900 block of Wood Avenue sometime between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 14, Geneva police reports said. The sidewalk leads from the front of the residence to the rear patio area. The owner estimated that it would cost $200 to remove the paint.
