Western Springs—Wristband, T-Shirt Sales Benefit O’Laughlin Memorial Fund—Fundraisers organized by the Lyons Township community have sprung up to continue remembrance of Kelli O’Laughlin through memorial apparel.

St. Charles—Judge Hands Down Prison Time for Driver in Crash That Killed St. Charles Man—A Plano man was sentenced on Nov. 15 to three years in prison for a 2008 crash that killed a St. Charles man.

La Grange—La Grange Park Considers iPads for Trustees in Effort to Go Paperless—Nathan Arger, 32, of La Grange Park entered a plea of not guilty today in federal court before Judge Amy St. Eve on allegations that Arger transported and possessed child pornography.

Burr Ridge—Community Members Come Together to Help Needy Families—It took 200 volunteers about six hours to sort, donate, package and transport 850 boxes of food and non-perishable items that would help feed thousands for the holidays.

Elmhurst—Township Assessor: New Elmhurst Hospital is Going On the Tax Rolls—The brand new, half-billion dollar Elmhurst Memorial Hospital will soon be paying millions in taxes, but that may only be until the hospital can establish its tax-exempt status with the state of Illinois.
