A self-guided art walk and reception to showcase the art galleries of Geneva “late ’til 9” the first Friday of every month. All galleries are within walking distance of each other. The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival — Sept. 4-5

Held at Island Park in Geneva, eight stage areas present concerts, hands-on workshops, topical song and story workshops, dance, vocal and instrument classes and special things for the kids from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

“Bleacher Bums” at Geneva Underground Playhouse– Sept. 9-25

Friends of the Viking Ship Open House — Sept. 17

The public will have an opportunity to view the Viking Ship in Good Templar Park, 528 East Side Drive, Geneva. Friends of the Viking Ship (FOVS) will host a “Viking Visitor’s Day” from 1 to 4 p.m., describing the ship’s amazing voyage from Bergen, Norway, to the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition and its subsequent adventures.
