Geneva's 'Summer in the Park' Series Has Live 'Radio Show'
Storytelling and the "Need to Be Seen" Live Radio Troupe are on the agenda at River Park.
The RiverPark Summer Series continues on July 22 with Mary Jean Bankmann's radio shows planned for this program with nine fellow actors from the "Need to Be Seen" Live Radio Troupe.
The following week, on July 29, the series concludes with an evening of storytelling and music. Marguerite Karl, the director of the Swedish American Children’s Choir, will be working with Dave Skirmont and John Quadrini on the accordion, Jason Lekander on guitar and Margaret Lekander on violin for stories intermixed with toe-tapping music.
The “Summer Series” is sponsored by Geneva Cultural Arts Commission and Sudden Values. All concerts are free of charge, begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place at the amphitheater at the RiverPark of Geneva, Peyton Street and North River Lane. Bring folding chairs, pads or a picnic blanket for comfort.
In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Fellowship Hall at the First Congregational Church of Geneva, 327 Hamilton St.
