Was this gentleman taking the train to Chicago or driving? If he was driving do you have his license plate number?

Do we have more information on this story?
Did he drive or take the train?
What is his license plate # if he drove?
Can they track his Ipass?
Did he have a cell phone on him, can this be traced?
Did he arrive for his appointment that he had downtown?
Does he have a credit card trail at all?
Did he use his credit card at all that day?
Did anyone hear from hear him that day at all?
We know this family and all this information just seems to be open with no answers. We need to find him!

It's been a week since he left for work in the morning and hasn't been seen since? Why isn't this a headline? Is there any information at all?

AJCUPPY, Dave is not missing, he has communicated his whereabouts to his family. He left his family and led the town to believe he was missing. Just talk to his wife and his kids......they know the truth !!

Maybe you are covering something up too?

I find it pretty suspicious that I post a comment telling the town that he left on his own accord, is in Mexico and that his family knows this and my posts is taken down? Where is the freedom of speech and why doesn't the Patch want Geneva residents to know that Dave is fine and left his family on his own accord? Shame on you Patch for pulling truth from the comments.

Apologies to lablover. I took the comment down yesterday after checking with the Geneva Police Department to see if there were any updates on the missing-person situation. The only substantiated information at this time is that Mr. Erickson is missing. "Lablover," please contact me at rickn@patch.com.

Lab lover, i really hope that your information is correct. We have a child that is very close to the family. Although the family is being extremely private under the circumstances it is breaking her heart with worry. We have had many sleepless nights over here with her. Can you please confirm the you absolutely know for a fact that David is in fact unharmed?

AJ, if you are friends w/the Ericksons, call over there and have your child talk to them. The Geneva police cannot close this case until they speak to Dave which they haven't been able to do yet. He left on his own, is safe and is a very selfish man to put his poor wife and the kids through this heartache.....not to mention the hours the people in Geneva have spent worrying about him.

Wow, I hope he's okay. Is this the same Dave Erickson who posts on the Patch and co-chaired Geneva Citizens for Excellent Schools?

I give Sue Erickson a million kudos for her professional and heart felt thanks to the people of Geneva while Dave's location was unknown at first. Sue, you are top notch and don't you forget it. In case you didn't see the comment in the Chronicle by Sue, here it is:

Sue E., Geneva, IL (Hollywood) wrote on June 22, 2012 7:21 a.m. ...
On behalf of the Erickson Family, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for all the support, concern and prayers during the uncertainty of Dave's well being.
