Geneva Burglaries and Thefts: Golf Clubs From Garage, Firewood From Campground
Police reports: Roundup includes car burglaries, a garage burglary and firewood from Good Templar Park.
The "someone took" police reports for the first half of the month of October include golf clubs taken from a garage, firewood from a campground and a wallet and GPS from various vehicles in Geneva.
Here's the roundup:
Burglary—Someone took two sets of golf clubs and golf bags from a residence in the 2000 block of Eldorado Drive sometime between 11 p.m. Oct. 15 and 5 a.m. Oct. 16, reports said. The equipment and bags had an estimated value of $1,200, reports said.
Theft—Someone took a face cord of firewood from a campground at Good Templar Park sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 17, reports said. The firewood was valued at $90.
Vehicle Burglary—Someone took a Visa debit card, leather wristlet wallet and two $100 Visa gift cards from a Ford Taurus parked in the 300 block of South Second Street sometime between 9:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 4, reports said. The Taurus was parked unattended in the easternmost parking lot of Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S. Third St., reports said.
Vehicle Burglary—Someone took a Tom Tom global positioning system and an Escort radar detector from a Toyota Highlander parked in the 800 block of Westfield Course sometime between 7 a.m. Sept. 23 and 10 p.m. Oct. 4, reports said. The GPS and radar detector were attached to the front of the vehicle’s windshield at the time of the theft. The total value of the two items was estimated at $275.
