Fuel Stolen from Truck at Food Bank

Here is an item from the St. Charles police blotter.

About 70 gallons of diesel fuel were reported stolen from a tractor-trailer used by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

On Feb. 16, a manager at the nonprofit told police that 70 to 75 gallons of fuel had gone missing from a truck parked on the west-side loading dock two days prior.

The fuel is valued at $250.

Police obtained video of a dark-colored truck that was seen driving southbound on Industrial Drive at about the time the incident is believed to have happened.

No arrests have been made, according to the report.

Unbelievable. I volunteer at the NIFB as often as I can and I hate to see them harmed in any way. Great group of people over there.
