At week's end, we'll pick the winning punchline based on how many of us here at Patch giggle and smile at your contribution. The user who produces the winning punchline will get a personalized proof of the comic, with the winning words and a credit line, from cartoonist Chuck Ingwersen and Patch.
Congratulations to LW Sagan, who provided the winning punchline to last week's Thirsty Horse cartoon:

Early in the history of the breakfast foods, a trend towards pork bacon was our saving grace. Now with a trend towards health, turkey bacon is becoming fashionable. Our beacon of hope is that turkey bacon basically sucks. We can still sleep well (save for that one, horrible day each year).

Once upon a time my little turkey there are people that don't believe in God or the Catholic faith, but yet many of the idiot people celebrate Christmas with their family and children. That my little turkey shows you how stupid people are and they don't realize they are celebrating the birth of Christ and the Christian faith. So my little turkey why is it they celebrate Christmas then. They aren't to bright my little one. End of a sad story.

This story is all to true. The world has been trying to water down this story for years. Instead of Christmas, it's the Holiday season. Instead of Christmas tree, it's a Holiday tree. Even St. Nicholas being forgotten as Santa Claus.
For all of you celebrating something you know little about, enjoy the joys Christ has brought to this world to give you the ultimate freedom to mankind. Salvation.
Get to know the story before you celebrate something for nothing. My prayers will be for all of your families to understand this story and accept this eternal gift forever.

I do not believe in a god..man made gods...I do not celebrate Christmas in honor of catholic faith...I believe in Jesus Christ,as a man who stood up to the authorities, stood up for his beliefs in the face of danger,I believe there was a man who saw how humans were living and wanted to change it,..I believe in the man who was sacrificed for standing up to everyone....Not religion....today's religions have some what calmed down but not a religion went by without having some kind of make believe god or violence involved with it..and most of the time the violence came when the faith and beliefs of the imaginary were in question by the one being attacked...religious freedom ? You mean like the Muslim guy who attacked a guy dressed as Muhommad and the U.S. judge said the guy was in the right to attack the American because the guy was "Obligated" because of his religion.....religion migh bee alright if all of it wasn't forced religion at one time or another..but it all retains, started, and will always be "Violent" while preaching "peace".....

Disciple,
Atheist and agnostics should not be participation in any such celebration as the rest around this time. It would only mean that they have come under the pressures of religion to celebrate around this time. I never have yet seen an atheist and agnostics celebrate Hanukkah because that would validate the belief of a higher being that is to be worshiped.
They should go away on vacation or live a lonely life at home never venturing out during this November and December.

Well what do you religious nuts call me...I believe in Jesus Christ but not a god.i believe in Christmas as to celebrate a man who stood up to authority, stood for his beliefs, and what he thought was right.i celebrate Christmas in honor of a man who tried and changed the way people lived..from mostly primitive to having a human factor, common sense and morality to a human life it's self..not caveman mentality...
