Geneva police blotter: Shattered car windows and Mickey and Minnie stolen. What's this world coming to?

It's chaos, really, when people go around taking Disney-themed lawn ornaments and shattering car windows. Here are three reports from the Geneva Police Department files.

Theft Under $500—Someone took a bronze Mickey and Minnie Mouse lawn ornament from a home in the 2100 block of Fargo Boulevard sometime between 2 p.m. Sept. 8 and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12, Geneva police reports said. The lawn ornaments were about 1-foot tall, with an estimated value of $100.

Criminal Damage to Property Over $300—Someone broke the rear window of a Chevrolet Trail Blazer parked in the driveway of a home in the 3200 block of Larrabee Drive sometime between 10 p.m. Sept. 11 and 5:15 a.m. Sept. 12, Geneva police reports said. The complainant told police that he and his wife heard a noise at around 10:30 p.m. Sept. 11 but dismissed it and went to bed for the evening. The estimated cost to repair the window is $500.

Criminal Damage to Property Over $300—Someone shattered the rear window of a Dodge Caravan parked unattended in a driveway of a residence in the 0-100 block of Briar Lane sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15 and 12:15 a.m. Sept. 16, Geneva police reports said.
