Mothers Club of Geneva Recognizes Anne Shaw
The Mothers Club of Geneva proudly recognizes Anne Shaw on her 10 year anniversary. Anne Shaw works diligently to support MCOG. Her family-owned business Viking Office Supply, a celebrated store in Geneva for 33 years, was a tremendous asset to MCOG. It was there she worked tirelessly on programs and invitations for the Annual Fashion Show, created stunning posters for the Annual Craft Show, and developed unique and creative signs to support MCOG. Anne has held numerous positions in MCOG, chairing Publicity, Decorations, Craft Show Luncheon, and Special Activities. Anne was bestowed the Marcella Fuller Award in 2003 for her tireless dedication to MCOG. Anne is a MCOG legacy as her mother, Fran Johnson, was a MCOG member in the 1970’s and most notably a Mother of the Year Award recipient in 1976. Anne is very involved in the community as a whole and also dedicates her time to JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Anne is a tremendous asset to MCOG and we congratulate her on her 10 years of dedicated service to Mothers Club of Geneva.
The Mothers Club of Geneva is a philanthropic women’s organization serving our local community through volunteerism and effective fundraising while providing leadership opportunities and lasting friendships for our members. Our upcoming fundraisers are The Holiday Arts & Craft Show at Geneva High School November 12, 2011 and The Spring Fashion Show & Luncheon at Riverside Receptions on April 15, 2012. MCOG donates annually more than $25,000 to charitable organizations in the Tri-city area, including higher education scholarships to Geneva residents.
