Mothers Club of Geneva Offering $10,000 in Scholarships to Geneva Residents
The Mothers Club of Geneva, a philanthropic women’s organization serving our local community for more than 70 years, is pleased to offer tuition aid once again to Geneva school district residents who will pursue higher education. For the academic year 2013-2014, the organization will be awarding multiple scholarships totaling $10,000. Qualifying applicants will be evaluated on the basis of financial need, community service and academic achievement.
Scholarship applicants must:
- Reside in the Geneva school district
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Be able to show proof of community service hours
- Be a current high school senior during the 2012-2013 academic year
- Enroll at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or a vocational-technical school
Application forms are available at the Geneva High School guidance office or can be downloaded from the Mothers Club of Geneva website at www.mothersclubofgeneva.org. Applications, along with required attachments, must be postmarked or electronically sent by March 31, 2013.
A scholarship selection committee will confidentially review all applicants. All information will be held in strict confidence. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 6, 2013 and scholarship checks will be made payable to the school the student will attend. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
