Geneva Rotary wishes to thank all our volunteers and customers at Swedish Days 2011 food booth. Hundreds of volunteer hours were contributed by members of Geneva Gymnastics, friends, family members and Geneva Rotarians. Geneva Rotary’s food booth is located at 3rd and Campbell each year at Swedish Days. The booth typically serves food from 11 am to 9 pm (or later) Tuesday to Saturday and from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
Michele Kinzler co-chair of Swedish Days 2011 for Geneva Rotary reports, “We cooked 3456 ears of sweet corn; 1280 Ream's hot dogs and 2200 Ream's bratwurst; Pulled pork to make 800 sandwiches and sold over 1600 soft drink bottles and 1008 bottles of water. Our profits which help fund Rotary’s scholarships, grants and service projects increased almost $6000 from 2010.”
Event co-chair Kathy Coffey stated, “We want to specially thank Geneva Gymnastics for their support of our booth – dozens of volunteer hours by members of the team really help us make our booth a success.”
2010-2011 club president Gordon Hard added, "Geneva Rotary is proud to be a part of Swedish Days each year. Our booth is a lot of work but also much fun, we encourage business people, professionals and leaders who live or work in Geneva or the surrounding area to visit our club meetings and to consider membership in Geneva Rotary."
