Bob McQuillan Honored As A Liberty Leader By The Illinois Policy Institute

Spring 2012 – Bob McQuillan became a Liberty Leader in 2011 and is profiled in the Spring 2012 Compass Publication (see link below). He is one of the many great Illinoisans who are forwarding liberty in a state that many have written off as hopeless. Like many people around Illinois, McQuillan was concerned about sky-rocketing property taxes, so in August 2008 he founded GenevaTaxFACTS. The group is dedicated to keeping an eye on property taxes, promoting government accountability and encouraging community involvement. The group’s website, www.genevataxfacts.org, provides access to a wide array of government and public documents.

He and his citizen activism group successfully persuaded the Geneva Community Unit School District 304 to post a check register online and broadcast its board meetings.

The group’s success recently drew the attention of the Kane County Chronicle’s editorial board which stated: "Getting involved and voicing your opinion about local, state and federal government is something we strongly believe in. That is why we applaud the GenevaTaxFACTS — For Accountable Controlled Tax Spending — organization for taking community activism a step further."

The Liberty Leader program is a great way for McQuillan to network with peers statewide. McQuillan, and Liberty leaders such as him, come together to compare and contrast individual efforts in order to support one another’s efforts.

Congrats Mr.McQuillan for your dedication and service in representing us taxpayers and providing us with the factual truth and understanding set forth by the tenure of the governing taxing bodies which are before us.

Kudos to Mr. McQuillan. As a lifetime Illinois resident I've seen burden after burden piled on the backs of families by various government agencies. I see the quote from the Illinois Policy Institute, "Fiscal crisis leaves little choice:Change policy or change states"
Guys like Bob are fighting the good fight - maybe this state can still be saved.
A heartfelt 'thank you' from a guy who really doesn't want to pull up stakes and move.

Kudos to Mr. McQuillan for his courage and tireless efforts on behalf of the citizens of Geneva.

Genuine community leaders and thriving societies encourage undaunted patriots such as Mr. McQuillan, to examine, verify, and then stand up and speak out against any and all abuse of the public trust.

Citizen of the year? Future Mayor? Geneva residents need people such as Bob McQuillan in leadership roles, because without their efforts, the average resident of Geneva would have little voice other than that of the politically connected and economically vested interests.

If you feel that you are a patriot, someone who cares about our children's future, and our community, please consider taking a look at McQuillans' Geneva TaxFACTS group of concerned citizens.
