Alma J. Sylvester, 92, died peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2012, at her residence in Geneva.
She was born June 1, 1919m in Glen Ellyn, IL, the daughter Raymond E. and Alma M. (nee Freiberg) Joyner. She was united in marriage to the late Warren G. Sylvester.
Alma was past president of the Kane County Women’s Republican Club. She loved the northwoods of Wisconsin and greatly enjoyed spending time with her friends in St. Germain.
She is survived by her children, Carol A. Swayne of St. Charles and Warren G. (Jane M.) Sylvester of Geneva; grandchildren, William J. ( Nicole Chrusciel) and Caitlin N. Swayne, and Scott J. Sylvester; and a great-grandson, Jon Chrusciel.
In addition to her parents, Alma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren; her grandson, Warren Gregory Sylvester; and her brother, Raymond E. Joyner Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street (three blocks west of the Fox River and one block south of Rt. 64) in St. Charles, where a funeral service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m.
Private interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
